Are acoustic ceilings ideal for residential homes?
Yes. Although acoustic tile ceilings feature predominantly in commercial architecture settings such as offices and hospitals, they are used in homes as well. Modern acoustic ceiling tiles offer more design variety that makes them an attractive addition for any home.
Why is my lay-in ceiling sagging to one side?
The most common reason for suspended ceilings sagging is poorly installed T-Bar grids. The grid could be weak such that it cannot support the weight of the ceiling tiles, hence the sagging. Or it could be that the main beams were not strong enough to span the length of the room.
Is it possible to lift the height of my acoustic ceiling by a few inches?
Yes this is possible. However, that will require the entire ceiling to be taken apart and re-installed afresh at the new point on the wall.
Can one install a ceiling fan if they have installed an acoustic suspended ceiling?
Yes you can. Fans aside, one can also install lighting fixtures, projectors, HVAC vents, and lots more.
Are T-Bar ceilings fireproof?
Fiberglass acoustic ceilings are fireproof. The T-Bar grid system is fireproof as well. So it depends on the materials that your suspended ceiling is made of. Check with your installer for clarification.
I have a few damaged ceiling tiles at my office. Can they be replaced?
Yes, acoustic ceiling tiles can be replaced with ease. Damaged grid frames, too, can be repaired or replaced.
Are there any other designs for ceiling tiles apart from the usual white ones that I see everywhere?
Yes, today modern ceiling tiles are available in attractive designs featuring different colors, shapes, sizes, patterns, textures, and finishes.
Can you paint my old acoustic ceiling tiles to another color?
Yes, acoustic ceiling tiles can be painted over to give them a new look. This is a great way to makeover your space during a retrofit while keeping costs low.
Can you change the lighting on my acoustic ceiling from fluorescent tubes to modern recessed lighting?
Yes, this can be done. Installing recessed lighting on an acoustic ceiling system entails designing the lighting placement, cutting through the tiles and mounting the lights onto them, re-wiring the new lights, and laying the mounted tiles afresh.
What insulation is ideal for my attic space?
Some of the common attic insulation options include rock wool, glass wool, and cellulose. Other options include cotton and sheep’s wool. Blow-in insulation is often the easiest option because some attics are hard to reach. However, batts and rolls can work as well in many cases.
Our wall and ceiling insulation is more than ten years old. Should we replace it?
Your insulation may not necessarily need to be replaced even if it is ten years old. We would advise you to seek an inspection service. The inspection will reveal whether the insulation needs to be replaced either due to mold, pest habitation, or moisture damage.
Will installing new insulation and getting rid of the old one reduce our cooling costs?
New insulation can reduce your cooling costs if the new insulation is superior in terms of thermal function; or if the older insulation was damaged over time rendering it less effective than it was intended to be.
What eco-friendly insulation products do you have in store?
We do stock a number of insulation options that are eco-conscious. They include hemp, straw, fiberglass, cellulose, and glass wool. Most of these materials are manufactured using recycled materials.
How much would it cost to soundproof a home theater room measuring about 150m2?
Soundproofing costs vary depending on the type of material used and the design concept of the insulated space. Some materials are more expensive than others, even though they might offer the advantage of durability and better thermal functionality. We can inspect your space, discuss the design and materials, and then create an estimate for you.
Do you have any soundproofing products that can be installed as an interior cladding?
Yes, there are lots of contemporary soundproofing systems that can be installed indoors as a finishing product. Acoustic ceiling tiles are one example. Other examples include sound dampening tiles, sound dampening wall panels, and sound blocking ceiling panels.
What sound proofing options are there for a restaurant and bar establishment?
You can soundproof your restaurant or bar using acoustic ceiling tiles, acoustic floor tiles, sound dampening floor underlays, sound absorbing wall panels, foam boards, noise blocking windows, and more.
Do soundproofing materials degrade over time or how long do they last?
Low quality soundproofing materials could degrade over time. This includes products made of fabric, wood, and even plastic. Check with your installer or manufacturer to find out the life rating of each material you install. However, most products last for a very long time. And this varies from product to product.

Yes, we do offer our ceiling installation, soundproofing, and insulation services to neighboring counties and cities in the region. We serve clients in Los Angeles county, Ventura County, San Fernando Valley, and in the West LA Area.
Do you charge consultation fees?
We do not charge our clients consultation fees when engaging with them about possible work we might do for them, even if we do not end up doing that work. What we do charge, however, is consultancy support on projects, especially larger projects. However, this, too, varies with the terms of each engagement.
Do you offer emergency ceiling repair services?
Yes we do. We can come to your domestic or commercial space and repair damaged ceiling tiles, damaged lighting fixtures on acoustic tiles, broken or loose grid joints, loose wall brackets, snapped suspension wires, and more.
